  Who Let The Dads Out? In Failsworth!

  
  Dads and their toddlers are invited to a brand new group starting at Roman Road Independent Methodist Church on Saturday 7th July 2012 from 10:30am until 12noon. The group, called ‘Who Let The Dads Out?’ is run along the same lines as traditional parent and toddler groups, but is specifically for fathers, grandads or male carers and their children.
  
  Organisers of the group, Derek Barron and Lee Place said: “There has long been a need for a dads and toddler group in our local area. It’s an opportunity for dads to have quality time with their child and to socialise with other fathers. It’s also a chance for mums to have some well deserved time off”.
  
  “The session will be very relaxed, there will be craft activities so dads can work and play with their children, plus tea/coffee, toast and juice for the children. It’s our very first session, so everyone will be in the same boat. We’d really recommend any dads with a spare morning to come along and check it out. Your children will thank you for it!”

  Who Let the Dads out? In Failsworth is part of the national Who Let The Dads Out? network with 50 groups running in churches across the UK, working with around 500 dads each month. ‘Who Let The Dads Out?’ has an overriding aim of turning the hearts of fathers and children to each other. Whilst the Who Let The Dads Out? sessions are targeted at dads with 0-preschool aged children, the Schools Out Dads About (SODA) groups cater for dads and children aged 4-8 (school years 1, 2 and 3). In addition to SODA and Who Let The Dads Out? sessions are programmes designed just for dads including ‘Daddy Cool!’, a five session parenting programme exploring values and beliefs related to fatherhood and Soul Man?, looking at spirituality issues.
